30 Days

Last year a few of the GA and Basket Brigade took part in the "30 Days of Cycling" challenge, Mr Foss appeared to miss-understand the challenge and appeared to be attempting to the moon and back in the month of April, others *cough* covered considerably less.

For an adventure that started off in the colonies it is remarkably GA, quite simply a fellow pledges to ride their bike everyday in the month of April, the trip can be to the bottom of the drive and back or, as in the case of Mr Foss to our nearest planetary body. If a fellow misses a day, no harm done, just pick ones self up by the boot straps and try not to do it again old boy.

We will pop this up on the forum for a touch of mutual support and motivation.

Well, that sounds interesting I'll give it a go.

Good evening Chap's & Bobs,

I too have signed up again this year .

In an attempt to better oneself I'm aiming past the nearest planetary body of the moon and have set my sights on Mars .

So off to the corner shop for a cocky bar .

Evening Gentlemen,

Well, I'm not sure what the weather is like in you neck of the woods, but we have got the full on "four seasons" in the civilised North.

Good luck for tomorrow.

Evening Gentlemen,

Right there with you Sir. Flooded tunnels, fallen trees but the rain was not too bad, so can't complain.

I'm in – as are VMH and velonipper……….

2 days in and 100%. Or rather – full compliance. Albeit I can use the Boris Bike on my commute. Not sure in the spirit, gentlemen, but……..

Evening Gentlemen,

Hanging in there, route still partially under water.

Mr Hill, I think in this instance, and by virtue I've not actually ridden my Guv this year, the riding and the challenge is more important than the means of conveyance.

Adam

Evening Gentlemen,

Six days on, and a bank holiday of excess behind and I'm still in. A few shorties and a pleasant spin with Mr Dodger around the southern end of the Peak District.

Mr Foss, you appear to have dropped a zero off you mileage?

Adam

All three of us still 100%.
And the Guvnor has been the steed of choice over easter.

Because of the high crank position i moved the saddle up another inch today – and the ride is even better. Not sure about the Pashley supplied kickstand, mind you……

I'm in.

So far, 8 days on a single speed Guv, 1 day on a Boris Bike. 67 miles covered.

I *nearly* added another dozen miles today but wonky valve on my 'other' Guv let me down. Fixed now so a run around the block in the dark will keep the momentum going.
