guvnors assembly cap design

Our tireless design team have been at it again with the old pen and ink my we present to you the Guvnors’ Assembly cycle cap?

Early days yet but initial enquiries with those jolly nice chaps at Waltz will result in a cap costing about £35 + p&p depending on import duty and number of caps required. Unlike the jersey we have to purchase a minimum of 25, to assist us with our endeavor if you would be interested in the purchase may we be so bold as to ask you to complete the survey to the right, this will give us an idea with regards to numbers and sizes.

We are still in the formative stages so as ever open to suggestions regarding design tweaks and manufacturer.

Sizes according to the site are:

Size Head (inches) Hat Size
Small/Medium 21 1/4″ – 23 1/2″ 6 3/4 – 7 1/2
Large/Extra Large 23 1/2″ – 25″ 7 1/2 – 8

fossil November 11, 2013 at 9:37 pm

Fantastic , a small/medium for me
Huzzah to the design team !!
and maybe a Chapeau ?

sandhy November 11, 2013 at 9:46 pm

Huzzah indeed, but being a picky designer type, I would suggest that the peak looks a tad bare? Logo currently on the right hand side of the cap would fit, leaving the side for ‘Chapeau!’ perhaps?

Adam November 11, 2013 at 10:01 pm

Unfortunately Waltz are not able to put anything on the peak of their wool caps.

sandhy November 11, 2013 at 10:12 pm

hmm. Unfortunate – well, ‘Chapeau!’ absolutely should be on the flag side then

Adam November 12, 2013 at 7:15 am

There is already a cycle clothing manufacturers called “Chapeau” could lead to a bit of confusion?

lincstcq November 11, 2013 at 10:07 pm

Pip November 11, 2013 at 10:27 pm

Dave Boardman November 12, 2013 at 12:06 am

As big as they come for me please, and a small/medium for Chinese Bob.
Like the idea of members GA name to be included if possible.
Many thanks to the design department for a superb item of head regalia.
A pint behind the bar for the designer, Chinese Bob is paying.

Little Dave.

I’m not sure names will be possible as we are going to have to purchase the hats up front. I suppose we could get the names added in the UK but this would add to the cost…

Dave Boardman November 12, 2013 at 9:31 am

Understood Sir,
Tis lovely looking.

WOLFGANG II November 12, 2013 at 7:37 am

A large cap would be fine for me. (And is the jersey still available? Looks like a perfect christmas gift … ) Thank you, Sir.

Dodger (FKA EmGee CeCe) November 14, 2013 at 6:55 pm

Yes Wolfgang Jersey can still be ordered no problem

WOLFGANG II November 15, 2013 at 8:57 am

Thank you,

Adam November 14, 2013 at 8:34 pm

From here Herr.

As an aside did you receive my message regarding L’Eroica Britannia?

WOLFGANG II November 15, 2013 at 9:26 am

I did, I did! Thank you so much, I was very pleased to hear from you. (And excuse me if I don´t answer that quickly.) And yes – I will join the L´Eroica Britannia and I am looking forward to meet you all … Preparations starting with the right wardrobe … followed by a hill climbing training for urban cyclists to master the Peak District challenge … On this occasion, I am aso planning a little portrait of honorable GA … I will come back to this issue later on.

Matthew McMichael November 13, 2013 at 4:08 am

Put me down for a large !

Nobby November 15, 2013 at 9:54 am

Splendid cap and a perfect match for the GA top.
I’ll take a medium please sir!

wolf November 15, 2013 at 1:46 pm

Great idea. I suppose 29 cm equals a large cap…

The Cycling Photographer November 15, 2013 at 2:44 pm

Beautiful design. Bravo Mrs.Adam.
XL if you will.
Does it come in a box……? ; )

Mistress Level Brim December 7, 2013 at 12:49 pm

Small Bob sized please.

Charlie Hindle January 20, 2014 at 9:33 pm

Medium please (6 & 7/8ths to be exact). Being short in stature, unfortunately I find the Govnor too large so plumped for a Parabike – do I still qualify for a potential purchase?

Adam January 20, 2014 at 9:39 pm

Of course Sir.

Fabio Samori June 27, 2016 at 10:54 pm

Hi there!

Do you still have any “S” short sleeve Guvnor´s jersey and “S/M” chapeau avaliable? Is it possible to send them to Brazil? Tanks a lot!
Best regards,

Adam June 28, 2016 at 10:00 am

Morning Fabio,

If you go to the “Limited Range Shop” on the forum you will be able to find a link to the Jersey suppliers.

Hope this helps
