After hard deliberation, the winner of The Guvnors’ Assembly Moustache Competition is non other than…… Master Macintyre Haywood-Newlands, son & heir of Stuart and Rebecca, who own the fantastic bicycle emporium, Bikelands in Exmouth.
The Assembly were proud to sponsor this competition for the Velo Vintage Ride, although a few arguments resulted after one of our judges insisted on choosing The Bearded Lady from a travelling circus that was visiting the town at the time. After having been threatened with having a live Exmouth crab dropped into his breeks, he saw reason to agree with the rest of the panel…. Well done young Macintyre! He can be seen here being awarded the title by our own MC, Mr.Adam, (he’s the one on the right in the top photogram….). Proud father and son featured in the 2nd photogram.
A 21st Century Tintype will be winging its way to Exmouth as a prize very soon.
